YG & 4HUNDRED WAZE FOUNDATION TAKE MORE THAN 100 KIDS HOLIDAY SHOPPING

‘Tis the season for giving back and for the second year in a row, YG and his 4Hundred Waze Foundation hosted their “Nothing Can Stop Me” Holiday Shopping Experience.
This year’s real-life Santa event went down yesterday, December 22 at the Shiekh Shoes store in Lakewood Mall near Long Beach.

The Blame It On The Streets rapper scooped up more than 100 children from the Los Angeles area including members of the DCFS, Boys & Girls Club, among others attended this year’s Holiday Shopping Experience. They each received gift cards and were transported to the Lakewood Center Mall where they were able to buy themselves whatever their hearts desired.

YG ALONG WITH BARON AND COMPTON’S MAYOR AJA BROWN PARTNERED TO HOST A TOY DRIVE

YG, Baron Davis and the Black Santa Company continue their give back efforts this weekend in Compton! YG along with Baron and Compton’s Mayor Aja Brown partnered to host a toy drive and wrapping event at the Compton Christmas Winter Wonderland. With the help of the Black Santa Elves, YG, Baron and Mayor Brown helped wrap gifts for children in need. YG also treated guests to a surprise performance .

COMPTON, CALIF. – Baron Davis, The Black Santa Company, and YG host a toy drive and wrapping event at the Compton Christmas Winter Wonderland, in partnership with Mayor Aja Brown & the Compton City Council. The free family-friendly holiday event, held at Wilson Park, brought a winter wonderland to life. All who attended enjoyed a surprise performance by YG, a toy giveaway, local school choirs singing holiday carols, a car show and a battle of the bands and drill team competition featuring Compton students,

Attendees brought toys to be donated and wrapped with the help of the Black Santa elves, which were distributed to children in need. “Christmas is a special time of year and that holds true for the families of Compton,” said Mayor Aja Brown. “I’m thankful for this generous community partnership and even more thrilled to be partnering with Baron Davis and the Black Santa Company on spreading holiday cheer to our residents. The holiday season is an important time for our community to come together.”

In the spirit of giving all year round, Baron Davis launched the Black Santa Company as a way to inspire the world by building diverse characters and telling compelling stories that reflect the change in culture. The new media company will create new characters, contemporary and engaging content, and high quality products celebrating diversity, fun, and positivity.

“With all that’s going on in this country, and particularly in the African-American community, I want to offer heroes and role models through storytelling,” said Baron Davis. “Black Santa is the first character. His mission is to celebrate diversity, the joy of giving and the magic of good. He’s here to bring people together and have fun.”
